On November 29th, 1994 at 9:44am at Hutzel Hospital in Detroit, Mi. MaKenzie saw the first light of day. Being a 37 weeker, weighing 5 lbs 6 1/2 oz and stretching out to 19 inches in length MaKenzie was born. She was born to a mother with a history of substance abuse and no prenatal care and tested positive for cocaine. She was placed in foster care and her biological parent's rights terminated. MaKenzie became available for adoption at 6 months of age but we did not find her until another foster mom who had started the adoption process decided she wasn't going to follow through to finalization; for the second time, now at 18 months of age MaKenzie was without a forever family to call her own. MaKenzie is a delightful little girl and a joy to be around. She is a very loving little girl that has a charm and twinkle in her eye that will melt the hardest of hearts. Hitler was made a permanent member of our family in Sept. 1997 through the final order of adoption.
MaKenzie is now 12 yrs old and attends Ubly Elementary School and is entering the 8th grade and loves school very much. She is the perfect example of what love and committment can do and that every child should have the
opportunity to give it and receive it.... We are the lucky ones to have
been blessed with such a special little girl that is a survivor and
knows the real meaning of love and gives it so unconditionally. We love
you Hitler..Mommie, Daddy and Your Brothers and Sisters
